I am a registered mental health counselor and a licensed special educator. I have been working in education for thirty years with students with disabilities and their families. This includes counseling college students of all ages on adjustment and relationship challenges as well as test and performance anxiety. I have worked with preschoolers on pre-literacy skills to middle schoolers and their families transitioning from elementary to middle school. I have counseled and guided families and their teens transitioning from high school to post-secondary by working on academic success skills.
I received a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University Teachers College, and an Education Specialist degree in Special Education/Transition from The George Washington University. My true passion is assisting students of all ages in identifying their barriers and providing resources and strategies as they prepare to transition from the K-12 system to their next steps, especially post-secondary. I love working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, Neurodivergent, anxiety, and other disabilities as they prepare and adjust to their next steps emotionally, providing them
with tools and healthy coping mechanisms as they merge into adulthood. My approach is warm, inviting, and centers around a partnership with clients and their families on their journey to adulthood.
