Pamela Snyder is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years experience in the mental health field. The last 12 years she worked as a trauma therapist, with a focus on working with adults who have experienced sexual abuse and domestic violence, among other traumatic experiences. Pamela has been trained in a variety of trauma informed therapy approaches, including trauma focused/cognitive behavioral therapy and a variety of solution focused approaches.
Pamela believes in tailoring her approach to meet the needs of each individual, while building on their strengths to increase self-esteem and overcome obstacles. Pamela’s 20 years experience in community mental health agencies, crisis intervention and other non-profit settings have given her insight into the needs and challenges of different population groups such as the LBGTQ Community, in which she utilizes a culturally competent counseling approach.
Pamela has experience working with individuals who suffer from a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Pamela teaches positive coping strategies and anxiety management tools in a compassionate, non-judgmental, laid back and safe atmosphere.
